no TV

Hello,

I am using Fedora and a Freecom DVB-T USB Stick. The stick is working and I can see the TV program with kaffeine (then the LED on the stick is green, when watching TV).
I have created a right channels.conf. But when I start morphine.tv everything is fine, but I don't see the TV programm. I can scroll thru the programs, but there is allways "no information available" (or so).(The LED on the stick is yellow).

Where I have to configure which adapter morphine should use? How morphine.tv recognize the DVB-T hardware? What is the problem?

Thanks a lot Streckl

Hi Streckl,

we are using the xine library to stream/play TV. Please try to use a Xine program to watch TV (e.g. gxine).

Please check the following things:

a) Did you copy the channels.conf to the ~/.xine directory?

b) Did you import the Channels? If not, please try (in the Morphine.TV root dir):

./bin/importtvchannels.sh

The message "no information available" means, that theres no EPG data found in the database.

regards

bere

Hi Bere,

thanks for your answer.

I have tried kaffeine. This program is working. I think Kaffeine is xine based.

a) yes I have copied the channels.conf to the ~/.xine directory
b) yes I have imported the channels

When playing with Kaffeine I can see that the USB Stich is working (LED is green).
When I start morphine.tv the LED is yellow. So I think morphine.tv does nothing the DVB-T hardware.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I have an idea, why TV is not working. Here is a line of the logfile:

04:31:11:72 TV: Abort due to: Cannot open the DFB video driver src/tvplugin.cpp:271

I use outputtype = x11 in the configfile.

Do you have an idea, why I can not open the DFB video driver?

Thanks a lot Streckl

Hi streckl,

thats the problem. You have to install the DirectFB-extras package. After that, you should be able to enjoy TV :-)
